I’m working on a book project. Haven’t thought of the title, of course. That’s the last thing on my mind, really. I’m mapping out chapters but it’s not going anywhere.

What prompted me to write this post is my eldest child, Bagel. I’m currently at a weekly writing meet-up which takes place every Thursday mornings at a neighborhood Starbucks. He has no school, and I decided to bring him along instead of missing out on the club. His younger brother, Bean, has school so thank goodness.

I was trying to map a bloody chapter but as always, children being children, mothers being mothers, there’s no way either of us will give the other a break. He does this nose thing (don’t ask) every other second, and I can’t help but hush him and tell him to knock it off!!! So there you go – him with his nose thing, me with the telling-offs.

It’s only 9:20am. Bagel brought his journal supplies (color pens, sketch pad, notepad), and two books (graphic novels with good and bad English). We also stopped by the gas station earlier so that he could grab some snacks and soda (crab crackers, Kinder chocolate bar, and some sugary drink).

It’s still too early to tell, but so far, I’m with my earphones listening to the radio and couldn’t hear his nose thing. Pity Sabby who’s seated next to him though (Sabby’s the founder of the writing club, Diam! & Write).

Hope to get back to Scrivener soon. Really. Otherwise, it’s just another morning without getting any writing done…
